MARLINSPIKE studio’s work is grounded in process and material intelligence. Sculptural systems are developed to shape how places are experienced and remembered over time, through sequence, rhythm, and material behaviour.

What We Do

MARLINSPIKE develops integrated sculptural works for architectural, public, and civic contexts. Projects are shaped through close collaboration with architects, designers, engineers, and fabricators, with careful attention to structure, fabrication logic, and lived experience.

The work sits at the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and fabrication, where conceptual clarity and buildability are resolved together.

Studio Structure

MARLINSPIKE operates as a studio and commercial entity responsible for commissioning, delivery, and integration.

Jaco Roeloffs is the lead artist and conceptual author, guiding material strategy, narrative, and spatial intent.

All work is contracted, scoped, and delivered under the MARLINSPIKE framework. Creative authorship is treated as a professional service, with clear accountability maintained from early framing through to completion.
